Experience a train ride from Lake Placid or Saranac Lake with boasts views of mountains, beaver meadows, rivers, & wilderness landscapes. Our trains offer a "special event" each day geared towards families- participate in these events such as the Clown Train or Magic Train or sit back and relax in our open air car or air conditioned coach to enjoy the scenery.

Both locations offer a variety of special events, group discounts & the opportunity to charter the train for private functions.


Our round trips from Lake Placid to Saranac Lake offer the choice of a 1 3/4 hour layover or 4 1/2 hour layover, giving you plenty of time to enjoy downtown Saranac Lake. Prior to departure we will provide a map with information on different stores, attractions, and eatieries in downtown Saranac Lake.

Our round trips from Saranac Lake to Lake Placid offer the same relaxing journey with a 45 minute layover to enjoy the museum in the Lake Placid Station, full of information about the station and the Olympic events held in Lake Placid.
