Depart Utica’s Union Station (downtown Utica) at 11am on Friday,
November 25th or Saturday 26th, arriving at our Thendara Station (south of Old Forge). 
Travel in our shuttle to downtown Old Forge & enjoy a very
special Adirondack Christmas celebration. Take a ride in horse drawn wagons, visit with Santa’s reindeer, &shop in the quaint village. Enjoy a lighting of The Old Forge Town Christmas Tree before you continue your journey back to Utica, departing Thendara just after 7pm, arriving at Union Station at 9:15pm.
 
Stay Overnight Option:
Why not consider making a weekend of it?
Take the train up Friday, spend the night in one of Old Forge’s centrally located hotels to enjoy another day of Christmas festivities. Catch the train back to Utica with us Saturday night.

THE POLAR EXPRESS ™

Live the magic of the classic Polar Express story with the Adirondack Scenic Railroad. Children (and parents!) are encouraged to come in pajamas. Depart from Utica’s Union Station (decorated for the season) and head north, interacting with our elves and listening to Liam Neeson’s reading of The Polar Express by Chris van Allsburg. When you arrive at our North Pole (Holland Patent, NY), Santa will give the first gift of Christmas and board the train, spending time with each and every family during the return trip. Don’t forget your camera – you’ll want to capture the memories of your time with Santa! When you get back to the station, we’ll have hot chocolate and cookies ready for you. Join the many families who come back to see us every year!

A note about reservations: This event sells out every year. In order to ensure that you are able to travel on your desired date, make your reservations as soon as you are able to confirm travel plans.

Buffalo Head Dinner Trains
Let the Adirondack Scenic Railroad do the driving for you!
Travel north through beautiful scenery to our Forestport Station,
just across the street from the Buffalo Head Restaurant.

Ghost Train
October 28th at 6:30pm
"Night of Haunted Rails with Ghost Seekers of Central New York"
Description: For those of us who like a chill down our spine from time to time, ride on the "Ghost Train" sponsored by Ghost Seekers of Central New York. As you ride the haunted rails towards your destination, the haunted "Historic Hulbert House" in Boonville, you will enjoy tales of train mishaps, tragedies, and spooky folklore, told by Jim McMann. Upon reaching the "Hulbert House" you'll dine with the Ghost Seekers and special guest medium, Irene, who will be available for readings. Your evening will be end with free time to wander through the haunted location and hear true tales of paranormal interactions.

18 & older, the train departs Utica at 6:30pm, arriving back at 1am.
Snacks, beer, and wine available for purchase on board.

Tickets are $55/person (includes dinner).

Family Halloween Train

Take Route 12/28 from Utica, NY going North to Route 365.
Go west to Depot St. Turn left on Depot Street.
Train station will on your left just before the railroad tracks.
(Approximately 20 minutes from Downtown Utica, NY.)

October 4, 18 & 30, 2011
Take a trip back in time with the Adirondack Scenic Railroad! Ride the train north from Utica’s Union Station to Remsen Station to eat at The Soda Fountain, Remsen’s ‘50s-themed restaurant! The Soda Fountain girls will host the party on the train, and we’ll bring you back to Utica afterwards.

Wine & Beer Tasting Trains
Let the Adirondack Scenic Railroad do the driving for you! Travel north to Remsen Station, tasting a selection of wines and beers from FX Matts Brewery along the way (check the schedule to see which winery is riding.) We provide the snacks and the music, plus samples of whatever the winery or brewery is presenting. If you like what you taste, you can purchase beers and wines by the bottle! Non-alcoholic beverages are also available.

Milk Train
September 10, departing Utica at 10am.

The Oneida County Dairy Princess and her Court will be hosting the Milk Train this year, leaving Utica and traveling to Remsen. Along the way, the Dairy Princess and her Court will be serving guests free milk, cheese, and yogurt. Stop in Remsen for a two-hour layover for a ceremonial transferring of milk cans. Enjoy an ice cream social, games, and educational programs presented by the Dairy Princess.

Utica to arrive at Holland Patent for the Mayfaire on the Green Renaissance Festival. Departing Holland Patent Sunday May 15th @ 5:00 to arrive in Utica.

Tickets are $ 10.00 for everyone. Alice C.W. Dennis will be riding the train with the passengers, providing entertainment along the way. The event will include strolling players, fire eaters, puppeteers, magicians, swordsmen, belly dancers, Irish dance, a host of period performances and the performance of A Midsummer Night's Dream by the Syracuse Shakespeare Festival professional cast. Admission to the fair is free. Yes there are turkey legs.

Easter Bunny Train & Easter Egg Hunt
